Made-to-Order Sliding Timber Gates

Start with the opening and the run-back space

Measure the clear post-to-post opening and the highest overall gate height in millimetres. Send a wide photograph showing the space beside the entrance where the gate will travel, together with slopes, obstacles and existing supports.

Have your installer confirm the supporting frame, overlap, run-back clearance and whether the proposed system uses a track or cantilever arrangement. Discuss ground conditions, gate weight, wind exposure and hardware before ordering. These requirements are site-specific; the concept drawing does not approve a site or prescribe structural details.

What does a sliding timber gate cost?

The calculator uses $980 per metre of opening width, including GST. Height does not change that base gate rate. A 3,000 mm opening gives a $2,940 gate estimate. With $600 Perth sliding-gate delivery, the estimate is $3,540 including GST, before separately quoted posts, hardware and custom extras.

Sliding-gate delivery to NSW, Brisbane and Adelaide requires a quote. Do not automatically substitute a double-gate freight rate. Confirm the final frame, supply inclusions and delivery for your address in writing.
