Price the complete double-gate opening once

Double driveway gates are $980 per metre of total opening width, including GST. The calculator charges the combined opening once, not the full width for each leaf. Height does not change the base rate.

A 3,000 mm opening gives a $2,940 estimate for the pair. With $450 NSW double-gate delivery, the gate-and-delivery estimate is $3,390 including GST. Posts, hardware and custom changes need confirmation in your quote; motors and installation are independently arranged.

Check swing space before choosing the appearance

Measure the clear opening between the posts and the highest overall height in millimetres. Photograph both sides, the ground slope, existing posts and anything in the swing area. We confirm manufacturing dimensions and fitting allowances; do not halve the opening and assume that is the finished leaf width.

If there is limited space for swinging leaves, compare a sliding gate with your installer. A slider needs its own frame, supports and run-back assessment. A double-gate photograph does not establish that the same site can use either arrangement.

LOSP pine standard; other timbers by enquiry. Confirm your supplied finish.
Frame
Mortise-and-tenon construction, reinforced with custom-made 300 mm screws underneath the joints.
Timing
Made to order: allow 4–6 weeks from order. Confirm delivery timing separately.
Scope
Supply only. Posts, hardware and custom extras quoted separately. Motors and installation independently arranged.

Can I see my proposed proportions?

Select Double driveway gates in the calculator and switch to Drawing after entering your measurements. Adjust available section treatments and compare the original reference. Standard solid bases stay enclosed. Final shop drawings are confirmed before manufacture.

What should my installer check?

Agree the posts, footings, hinge and latch arrangement, centre meeting position and ground clearance before ordering. For automation, have the installer confirm gate weight, wind exposure and motor compatibility with the chosen specification.
