Timber Gates Online supplies made-to-order pedestrian, double driveway and sliding timber gates. Buy your gate directly from us, source a compatible motor separately if needed, and hire your own carpenter or gate installer. Compare gate supply, delivery, motor and installation costs separately.
This calculator estimates gate supply and available delivery rates, including GST. Motors and installation are not included. Posts, hardware and custom extras need a separate quote. Have your installer confirm the gate specification, site requirements and any motor compatibility before ordering. Allow 4–6 weeks from time of order.
Mortise-and-tenon frames. Reinforced at the joints.
Our timber gates use mortise-and-tenon frames, reinforced with custom-made 300 mm screws underneath the joints. The screws provide additional reinforcement to the traditional jointed frame.
Choose your design and opening measurements, then confirm the final gate specification with us before manufacture. Gates are supplied on a supply-only basis: choose your own carpenter or gate installer and source any compatible motor separately.

- A concept sketch that responds to your measurements, pedestrian/double/sliding selection and available open or enclosed section choices. The original profile is kept in proportion.

- The original gate drawing and, where available, an installed photograph help you compare the actual design details.
The visualiser does not place a gate into a photograph of your property. Final manufacturing dimensions, clearances, hardware and shop drawings are confirmed before manufacture.
Which gate layout should I compare?

For a slider, your installer needs to check run-back space, overlap, supports and the track or cantilever arrangement. The concept preview does not confirm site suitability.
What do the blue spaces and solid panels mean?
Baby blue means a see-through opening. Open slats have gaps between the boards. Enclosed sections block the view between boards. A standard solid base stays enclosed even if the top is open. Decorative cutouts remain openings through the timber, rather than applied ornaments. Available choices depend on the selected design.

Gate price examples, including GST
1,000 mm pedestrian gate: 1 m × $1,200 = $1,200 gate supply. With $88 Melbourne delivery, the estimate is $1,288.
3,000 mm double driveway gates: 3 m × $980 = $2,940 for the pair. With $450 NSW double-gate delivery, the estimate is $3,390. We price the total opening once, not once per leaf.
Height does not change the base gate rate. Posts, hardware and custom extras need a separate quote. Motors and installation are not included. Delivery depends on destination and gate type; “quote required” is not free delivery.
3,000 mm sliding gate: 3 m × $980 = $2,940 gate supply. With $600 Perth sliding-gate delivery, the estimate is $3,540 including GST, before separately quoted posts, hardware and custom extras. Motors and installation are independently arranged.
Before you order: agree the plan with your installer
Give your carpenter or gate installer the design, clear opening, highest overall height and photographs of the entrance. Have them check posts, footings, hinges, latch and ground clearances. For a slider, discuss the frame, overlap and run-back space. For automation, confirm gate weight, wind exposure and motor compatibility before ordering the gate or motor.
